DAY 1
Gangi
Transfer from Catania or Palermo airport to Gangi.
The clear air and the fragrance of the high mountains lead us to Gangi, which is not just a town, but a small town with mythological origins. This medieval village seems to have transformed the rock of the mountain into a work of art. In fact, a scene of stone sculptures opens: a large group of houses facing each other, gilded external walls decorated with flowers, wrought iron balconies and rich portals.
On these streets are scattered churches, noble palaces and art treasures, which climb and intertwine in the magnificent natural environment.
For this purpose, Gangi was proclaimed in 2014 the "most beautiful village in Italy", a recognition that it shares with other Sicilian municipalities such as Petralia Soprana and Geraci Siculo that you will visit on this tour.
Meeting with one of our collaborators, who will give you the Self-Guided Booklet.
Overnight:
Baronial villa dating back to 1700, located in a quiet position in the valley behind Gangi. Dinner included (with house wine).
